Boland Secular Society

I am a Marriage Officer appointed by the Minister of Home Affairs under the Civil Union Act. I can officiate at opposite and same sex marriages. Between my husband and I we have officiated at over 475 weddings. Unsolicited references are available. My wedding ceremony  is spiritual rather than strictly religious.

I guarantee the freedom to worship as one chooses. I support the idea of a secular society, in which people of all religions, and none, should be treated equally. I make room for as wide a variety of beliefs and creeds as the spiritual needs of man deem necessary. I sponsor an attitude that shows no partiality to any one group and that lets each flourish according to the zeal of its adherents and the appeal of its dogma.
I consult with the parties, provide wedding and ring vows, as well as a number of suitable wedding quotations. My ceremonies are constructed to the parties requirements.

My fee includes all paperwork, compiling the ceremony to the parties wishes, attending on the ceremony, completing the wedding register, issuing a marriage certificate on the day, and registering the marriage with the Department of Home Affairs.

I am prepared to travel, but charge a travel fee for venues further than 50 kilometres from Cape Town centre.
